Below is an artist's rendition of the may 21'st robbery of a local branch of the UAP. One George Fontaine escaped apprehension by deputies early Saturday morning after stealing nearly $50,000 from the vaults of the local bank. Anyone with information should call their local Police department regarding the whereabouts of this man. His most prominent features are his unusually squinted and beady eyes, his spindly handlebar moustache, his irrational gravitation toward metallica merchandise, and a general conformity with idyllic dodgy and most questionable tendencies. He was last seen wearing a beret and small black eye covering while carrying a large canvas bag with an imprinted dollar sign.
The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Gilmore Girls?
Alright, I have to admit it. I like the Gilmore Girls. Their fast talking, pop referencing conversations have taken me unawares. I let my guard down for maybe 3 episodes, and BAM! 8 months later I have just started the 7th and final season, and am sad we're almost done watching them.

Ubuntu rox
I have recently upgraded my desktop system to be more accommodating to my favorite operating system: Ubuntu. The first thing I noticed is that there are a lot of free options for gaming than there ever have been before. One website I have found invaluable and have enjoyed reading through is Ubuntu Gamer. If you are interested in gaming in Ubuntu, this site is top notch. They give lots of good suggestions, reviews, installation instructions, and even downloads are provided for some games.
Another must have for gaming in Ubuntu is Playonlinux. I have linked to the playonlinux download page, but if you have Ubuntu you can just as easily use the ubuntu software center to download and install the program. It is basically an install manager for programs in wine (a windows compatibility program for non windows systems). Playonlinux will automatically configure your installation to make it playable in Ubuntu. There are a bunch of applications supported not to mention a large game list. I have been able to install and play my favorite games including: cs:source, TF2, UT3, hl2 , hl2 deathmatch, all with decent framerates and minimal fuss.
Despite my recent geekery and excitement over gaming, my loving wife has been very supportive. We have agreed that my gaming should remain under an hour a day. Thank you for being understanding Jordyn.
If you are considering switching from windows, now is as good a time as ever. Ubuntu can be easily downloaded and installed from their website: www.ubuntu.com. Unless I am mistaken, it is also possible to order a disk to be shipped to your home as well. The best part about this is that it is Free. Truly a no cost OS. Well, I guess my time on a soapbox is concluded for now. I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it. I have included a screenshot of me pwning some noobs as added incentive to run out and install ubuntu to see what the hype is all about.
